Craft & Drawings

For Depot Basel 2013, Bertille & Mathieu have been invited to present a set of works alongside an artistic drawing. The radiator and bowls are in cast iron, and the drawing is made with sand used for iron casting. It expresses the fascinating moment when the sand, normally shapeless, is solidified and takes shape to become a mould, and cast iron, normally solid, is liquefied to become an object.
