Caleo

More a sculptural presence than an functional object, Caleo could be the empty space of the fireplace heart. Both intriguing and familiar, the modular shapes evoke warmth and diffuse an indirect light.
Caleo is a commisionned piece for the gallery Chamber NYC, and a part of a serie of research I did about casted aluminium.
I developed a personal language with this material through an handmade process of ancient techniques.
